Drunken Ramblings

I feel like playing some R&B right now, some Stylistics, Temps, Commodores, EWF...you know, the good shit. Oh yeah. "Brick House" is playing, I have a drink in hand, life is so much better. Stoopid work shit is melting away.

I'm still trying to find my voice, my focus in this blog. Like everyone, I have a lot of interests to narrow down. I love (in no particular order):

Cats (everything about them except the puking)
Gaming (love it, miss it, currently bored out of my skull with it)
COOKING (total foodie and damned good at it, if I do say so myself)
Photography (self-confessed neophyte, I just take pics of what strikes me and I'm happy with that)
Crafting (especially embroidery and needle arts)

How do I decide which direction to go in? I don't believe in limiting myself and obviously have many more interests, these are the ones that bubbled to the surface, ERGO, they will prolly be mentioned most often here at TDH.

As Hunny would say 'in a total and complete non-sequitur' I do miss gaming. So much so, that today I ordered Dragon Age. A little history - I was always easily bored with puter games, I'd play a couple of weeks and then go 'meh' until the day I watched my hunny getting his ass handed to him by some fairies while playing Ever Crack. I thought 'I could get into that' and boy, did I ever. OK, now I'll admit it, they were some badass mofo fairies, and we later kilt them daid. Revenge! Four years after playing every day, and I do mean every day, having the highest-highs and lowest-lows, we both finally hit the wall. Hunny and I met some of the greatest people ever, while playing that game. We were damned good at it too. Hell, who wouldn't be after 1500 days of play time? Don't answer that, there are some lousy-ass players out there. We tried many other games, Vanguard, Warcraft, LOTRO, Warhammer, et cetera ad nauseum. Nothing fit like EQ. I guess, as of today, I'm tired of playing with other people, even though some of the best times I've ever had having been hanging with a group, camping mobs, dragging someone purple back to life by his fingertips (yeah, I'm a kick-ass healer) killing bad guys and stealing their lewtz, but you know what? Real life beckoned, and it's been a good ride and a good break. A breather. But I'm feeling the itch and it's time to play some FPS for a while, get my fix and see what's what. Stay tuned, who knows what lands I will explore in the future.

Hey, guess what? He met Marmalade down in old New Orleans, strutting her stuff on the street, and he's ready to give it a go. Guess now you know what's what, eh?

Oy Vey

Oh man, what a day. I'm sitting here sucking down a Bloody Mary thanking the Lawd that I only have to work a half day on Friday. Poor hunny is having a colonoscopy which sucks for him, but I get out of work. I love my boss, but when she gets her undies in a bundle? Fuggedaboudit.

Anyhoo, life is too short to take seriously, so I'm gonna post a pic of something that made me smile today, and that, my friends, is worth all the tea in China.
